Bangladeshi ( mostly Sylheti ) protestors march & demonstrate against the Monica Ali book "Brick Lane" after shooting the film version in the Brick lane area where it is set was cancelled as a result of opponents claiming it caused offence to and told lies about the Bangladeshi community . Ruby Films said it had been advised to cancel by police and Tower Hamlets council .
